Ejen2u: Turning Entrepreneurial Dreams into Reality

27 November 2023

In today’s dynamic business landscape, navigating the intricate labyrinth of growth is a challenging journey. Ejen2u stands out as a key navigator for aspiring entrepreneurs in this fast-paced environment. Founded by visionaries Sheikh Ezaiddin, Imran Hadi, and Taufiq Zakir, this dynamic trio shares a unified ambition – to empower businesses in the constantly evolving digital realm.

Sheikh, a skilled engineer with a sharp focus on systems; Imran, a seasoned professional boasting three decades of agentship experience; and Taufiq, a branding expert, united their talents to bring Ejen2u to life. Their primary goal centred around the digital transformation of business operations and the establishment of an all-encompassing agent management system.

Recognising a gap in the market where businesses grappled with operational challenges and struggled to connect with the right resources, the founders of Ejen2u realised the crucial need for businesses to receive advice and personalised guidance. This insight, coupled with the necessity for a monitoring system to track progress, prompted the establishment of Ejen2u in 2019.

“We invest significant time engaging with our clients and founders, recognising their substantial role in supporting the government’s efforts to bolster the economy. Our personalised approach distinguishes us, acknowledging that guidance offered to emerging entrepreneurs can be truly invaluable, thanks to the expertise of our subject matter expert in the agentship industry,” said Sheikh.

As Ejen2u evolved, it swiftly ascended to become Malaysia’s largest and fastest-growing agent management platform. The success of its EjenGO software facilitated connections with over 500 clients, achieving a remarkable Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) of US$125 million (RM588 million). In recognition of their efforts, Ejen2u received the Ikon Brand Award for ‘Most Trusted Brand in SME Digital Solution of the Year’ in 2022.

Acknowledging Ejen2u’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life and supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), the platform received support from the Khazanah-backed Gobi Dana Impak Ventures (GDIV) Fund this year. GDIV, focusing on impactful investments to fortify Malaysia’s economic standing, found alignment with Ejen2u’s vision, particularly as MSMEs assume a pivotal role in the nation’s economic trajectory amid the global supply chain shift towards ASEAN countries.

“The collaboration with GDIV serves as a reservoir of knowledge, experience, and financial support. Ejen2u views this partnership as an opportunity to learn continually and, in turn, share insights with clients for a harmonious match aligned with their mission,” added Sheikh.

Beyond its foundational offerings, Ejen2u expands its impact with EjenVenture—a platform aiding big brands and corporations in establishing new distribution channels using resellers. The Women Empowerment Entrepreneurship Programme (WeMap) complements this effort by focusing on upskilling women entrepreneurs and contributing to enriching the informal economy.

As Ejen2u sets its sights on serving over 500,000 users by year-end, it strives to enhance the income of its diverse clientele, with nearly 85% being women and more than 18,000 users with the age of 50 and above, while enabling them to efficiently manage businesses from the comfort of their homes.

Ejen2u’s aspirations, with GDIV’s support, transcend numerical achievements, embodying a journey that empowers dreams and nurtures entrepreneurial success.
