Syafiq serves as a Senior Manager at Gobi, focusing on early-stage, impact, and growth investments in the ASEAN region.

He began his career as an associate at Ernst & Young (EY), specialising in valuation, modelling, and economic strategy. His role involved projects with multinational companies and government-linked entities. In early 2022, he transitioned to venture capital, joining the Hibiscus Fund, a collaboration between RHL Ventures, KB Investment, and Penjana Kapital. At the Hibiscus Fund, he served as an investment analyst, covering investment opportunities in Malaysia and Vietnam.

Syafiq holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Actuarial Science from Bayes Business School, London. As of August 2022, he has completed two levels of the CFA program.
