In honour of International Women’s Day on 8 March and our continuous support of women entrepreneurs, Gobi held a month-long campaign spotlighting our female movers and shakers through the ‘Women of Gobi Series’ featuring our Gobi GBA Executive Partner, Cindy Zhang, our founders Christina Suriadjaja (Travelio), Yienyee Soh (AVANA) and Vanessa Hendriadi (GoWork); a networking session celebrating diversity in finance and tech in Hong Kong as well the two-day Asia Gender-Smart Investing Workshop held in collaboration with UN Women!

Asia Gender-Smart Investing Workshop
The two-day event brought together industry leaders in the private and public sectors to discuss strategies for creating more sustainable companies through diversity and providing opportunities for women. The workshop aimed to promote gender equality in investment decision-making and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion integration for startups. More than 350 participants from 17 countries, including corporations and non-profit organisations, attended the workshop.

IWFCIM Investment Forum: Celebrating the International Women’s Day 2023
Our Managing Partner for Malaysia, Jamaludin Bujang, joined a panel discussion on “Smart Investing” at the IWFCIM Investment Forum on 8 March, which was organised to celebrate International Women’s Day 2023. The forum aimed to support women entrepreneurs by connecting them with investment experts and exploring various investment vehicles and fundraising options. The full-day event hosted 150 entrepreneurs and business professionals, featuring speakers from reputable organisations, including Bursa Malaysia and the Securities Commission, as well as leading investment firms and fundraising companies. The objective was to provide entrepreneurs with a platform to engage with experts and foster a more equitable entrepreneurial ecosystem. |
